MAINTENANCE/MODERNIZATION intervention on the mixing desk used by the BONDING-B747 department

The workstation consists of a suction bench, on whose work surface, in a closed cabin, the semi-automatic mixing of a resin with its catalyst to which glass fiber is subsequently added, according to proportions \ mixture ratios identified by the operator.

The removal of the fiberglass takes place automatically, following the operator’s request, by means of a pick-up lance that conveys the fiberglass from the supply bag, contained within an adjacent bin, to the cyclone integrated in the cabin: in this way the operator does not come into direct contact with material potentially harmful to health.

To eliminate the risk deriving from the diffusion, inside the building, of the aforementioned material, a filter of suitable characteristics was also installed on the top of the bench hood, in order to intercept the expelled dust and introduce filtered air into the work area. 99.5%.

Finally, in order to adapt the bench to current health and safety regulations, the electrical panel on the machine was created from scratch, as well as the system for pneumatic feeding of the users of the bench.
